5 Ways To Style A Beret

You may be thinking to yourself, “how can I be as Parisian as possible? How can I throw on a beret and look at the Eiffel tower off in the distance and **sigh**. Well ladies and gents, I’m here to tell you. That’s right… ME! Here are my top 5 ways to wear a beret, and how to look AFAP (as fabulous as possible) doing it. Are you ready to take a journey to Paris and back in like 15 minutes (depending on how fast you read)? Okay, let’s party!

#1 Casual/chic

I know it’s not fall yet, but when I look back at this outfit I can already smell pumpkin spice in the air. One thing I love about hats in general, is the ability to wear them with so many different options. I often pair my beret with a dress or a more casual outfit, like above! I honestly hear so often that girls don’t like hats or berets, and I don’t think I can go on in fashion without them. I’m obsessed.

 #2 Red

There were many times this fall and winter that I didn’t know what to wear, or didn’t know how to accessorize my outfit. I always fell back on this hat! One in every color please. This red beauty from Urban Outfitters are what dreams are made of. Ammright? When I put on an outfit, I often have to tell myself to “be confident”. Especially if it is something that may be out of the ordinary. I live in a small town so even when I wear heels I’m pretty much a spectacle. That’s what I love about fashion though, the possibilities are endless and all you have to do is believe in yourself, in the least cheesy way possible. So if you are questions wearing a beret because you don’t know how to wear it, just be confident!

#3 faux fur

This outfit was one of my favorites, because I genuinely didn’t know how it would look until I put it together. I love flared jeans and faux fur, but it was quite the statement. If you are going for a more classy look in winter that is functional, warm, and classy, pieces like this are key! I of course added this beret for warmth but it actually pulled the entire outfit together perfectly.

#4 stripes (always)

The weather was was getting warmer and I was trying to find ways to incorporate my beret, obviously. This spring I was still able to top off this Band of Gypsies jumpsuit and my Avec Les Filles flare corduroys with my beret. Which very quickly became my go to outfit. Can you tell my love for the flare is real? Well there isn’t really a better way to feel Parisian than a little bit of drama and a whole lot of stripes. I have truly never met a stripe I didn’t like, and these stripes paired with my go to hat, rounds up this spring beret ensemble.

  #5 Vintage

Okay, okay. Last but certainly not least, is my not-so-standard approach at vintage. Yes, I got this blazer a Goodwill. Clearly no offense to those that thrift a lot, but I am not one of those girls. I always have the hardest times finding treasures. Once I found this blazer, took the shoulder pads out and added my beret… Whalaaa (yes, say that out loud so you know what word it is). This was one of my FAV outfits because it was definitely not like me, but also SO like me all at the same time. Know what I mean? I accompanied this with one of my favorite watch brands, Daniel Wellington, and it topped off the whole ensemble perfectly. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t wear a watch, and I will always stand by it! I feel completely naked without my watch, especially anything from Daniel wellington (not sponsored).

Okay, there you have it! THE END. All of my favorite ways I style a beret. I could obviously show you my many other photos I have, but fortunately I narrowed it down for you. So if you have been wanting to wear a beret and don’t know how, or you are wanting to get one in every color like me (raises hand emoji)! Then here are all the tools you need. Now I’m trying to find options for summer berets, or at the very least start stalking up for next year.

I’ve linked all of my outfits below and all of my favorite berets. I try to never link anything over $100 so it’s all really affordable for you. Thanks for stopping by! I’m going to go figure out how to time travel within my beret to get to Paris. I’ll let you know if it works.
